You have decided to look for new employment and want to peruse the Internet for possible opportunities.
Most folks go to www.indeed.com. There are other platforms to check out: ZipRecruiter, and CareerBuilder. LinkedIn, Monster, and Flexjobs. Another important “choice” is to go to the website of a company that you may be interested in and check out their Careers option, which is listed at the bottom of their homepage.
MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE: READ THE ENTIRE JOB DESCRIPTION
So often, job seekers will read several lines in the job description and decide to fill out an application and send their resume in WITHOUT reading the entire description. One of the biggest issues involves education and certifications. They could be listed as “preferred” or “required”. If they are “preferred,” you may be considered without having either. If they are “required,” you will/may not be considered, and filling out the application could be a waste of time.
